Industrie De Nora opens two Junior Scientist positions in the field of Electrocatalysis. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to earn the PhD degree being enrolled at The University of Chemistry and Technology (UCT), Prague. The positions are focused on development, characterization and implementation of advanced catalysts and electrodes for the electrochemical oxygen evolution in water electrolysis. For one of the position, particular attention will be given to the development of synthetic routes for the preparation of well-defined catalysts and their structural and electrochemical characterization. The other position will be focused on the development and characterization of electrodes for the water electrolysis, implementation of a testing facility.

Successful candidates must hold a M.Sc. degree (or an equivalent) in Chemistry, Material Science or related field, must be in the first 4 years of his/her research carrier and do not hold a PhD. Successful candidates may not have carried out their main activity in Italy for more than 12 months in the last 3 years.

High motivation and willingness to work as a team are essential. Writing of report, updates and presentation for Milestone based project. Good command of English is mandatory. Hands on experience in advanced synthesis and nanomaterials, structural characterization techniques (SEM, XRD, TGA, etc.), heterogeneous catalysis, electrocatalysis or electroanalytical techniques is an advantage. Previous activities with Gas Diffusion Electrodes or Dimensionally Stable Anodes are also considered.
